49ers Fans Win Tempt Destiny Billboard of Choice
January 22, 2012: The 49ers fans won the Tempt Destiny billboard of choice by a narrow 53 votes beating out the Ravens fans. However, the 49ers team did not win their conference championship game so the billboard of chance option goes to the Giants since they had the most votes of the two SB bound teams*.
These are the final results of the top four totals for the 2011 season.

*GIANTS - 39888 votes - Billboard of Chance
*PATRIOTS - 24686 votes
NY GIANTS Rejected Billboard Gift
On January 23, 2012, the NY Giants organization rejected the Tempt Destiny billboard gift. Although the *indirect selection (one of two SB bound team had more votes than the other) had been made and the artwork was in the early stages of being created, we did not create a Tempt Destiny billboard for the 2011 season. More importantly, the NY Giants organization made it clear that they will not accept this gift of support from their fans in the futre and instructed that their decision is final. This event marked the end of the Tempt Destiny Experiment
NOTE: On a personal note, to my fellow Giants fans who's team will no longer accept their gift of support, my condolences. It seams appropriate that what began with the Giants should also end with the Giants' final decision. With conclusive evidence of predetermined events obtained, the Tempt Destiny experiment has officially drawn to a close.

Since SB XLIV, we have been doing two different types of Tempt Destiny billboards, one of choice (team with the most votes) and one of chance (SB bound team with the most votes). If the team with the most votes does not make it to the SB, then we will do the next TD billboard for the team that has the most votes of the two competing SB teams. (see press release).
